Long time, no see.

Hey, everyone! 

I know it's been months since I last posted a journal and even longer since I last updated The Healer's Student. Unfortunately school has made it hard for me to get going on it.

Thankfully the semester is drawing to a close. I only have one last project to get sent in as well as one last exam to study for. Even with that remaining I still have found some time to breathe and inform you all that I'm not dead or dying and I should be getting back in the swing of things soon.

One last thing I want to inform you all about. In the midst of this crazy semester I have been occasionally updating the revision of The Healer's Student on Fanfiction.net (go check it out, in case you're interested).

Anyway, the story over there is a bit different in places compared to over here and some of the changes I made inspired me to make changes to the original narrative here on DA.

1). Master Redd's Sindarin name has been changed from Clylla to Edhelnost. The reason for this is because I learned that Clylla is not a Sindarin word nor does it appear in any Elvish tongue. So, I chose to give him a real Sindarin name, like Gandalf has, and I chose the name Edhelnost, which means "Elf-Kin". If you've read the story you know why he's called that.

2). In part 2, chapter 15, when the reader is reunited with Fili before being dragged off to another cell, I added a tiny little detail that shows Legolas hiding an expression of remorse after having pulled the two lovers apart. I added it because I didn't want Legolas to seem entirely cold and heartless in that scene.

3). In part 2, chapter 21, I think, I added some extra dialogue between Meraell and Tauriel where the former questions the latter about her decision to betray her king for a dwarf, after which she calls him out on doing a similar thing. I not entirely sure why I chose to include it at all. Somehow it will connect to an extended scene I will be writing later.

4). A couple of the chapters in part 1 have had their titles slightly changed, because of reasons.

5). Also in part 2, chapter 15, I changed the detail about why no one understood Bifur when he started yelling about the reader being alive. I changed it from being because he spoke in ancient Khuzdul to simply that in his excitement he unintentionally started morphing his words together, which seemed to be one of his problems. I changed it because it made more sense, and it seemed funnier to me.  

So yes, if you go back and reread it you will see these. If anymore come up I will inform you again.
